The morning of August 5, 2016, I was at CrossFit when my girlfriend Tracy O’Horo, invited me to go to Pier 121 that night to hear a great band, Emerald City, since I didn’t have any plans. I text a couple of girlfriends to join and our Friday night was set.

After arriving I ran into an old Junior League friend, Cari Bennett. She was also dock neighbors with Paul and casually introduced us. That evening Paul would pass by our table every 30 minutes and chat for awhile. I told my girlfriend Kendra, that I thought I might want to go out with “that guy”.

Later that evening I went out on the dock outside the bar to see my friends, Beth & Kyle Gowdy. Paul was also out there so I introduced them. When I told Paul it was time for me to leave, he asked for my number saying he would like to take me out.

Five days later we had our first date at Princi Italia restaurant. Six months later Paul took me to his friends, Brian & Sue Shibley’s condo in Grand Cayman. Every evening we would sit on the beach with music and a bottle of wine and answer questions from the app “36 Questions to Finding Love”, that my newly married friend
Dylana McDonald highly suggested. Well it worked; we fell in love in that week in Cayman.
